Choose from our types ofPolyethylene Terephthalate glycol (PETG)…

PETG is a plastic with excellent impact resistance, rigidity and chemical resistance. This material is more impact resistant than acrylic but less so than polycarbonate. PETG plastic is an FDA-compliant plastic for food, beverage, and medical packaging. This makes it legal to use for a wide variety of products, as well as proving its safety around food products.

PETG is used in 3D printing and is suitable for many other applications. The glycol in PETG is responsible for the material’s robustness and impact resistance. PETG is no less than 15 to 20 times stronger than acrylic. This type of material is extruded so there is minimal thickness tolerance.

PETG is a chemical-resistant, impact-resistant, waterproof plastic that can easily be bent. It is ideal if you need to create round shapes. However, angular shapes are also possible with PETG.

Certified by the FDA for food-grade safety, this material ensures that it is safe for contact with foodstuffs. Its food-grade certification, along with its fire-safety rating, allows PETG to be confidently utilised in public spaces.

Plastic material

PETG becomes stronger than PC and PMMA at higher temperatures, making it the primary choice for the vacuum forming of components. This means it is ideal for indoor use and for the lighting/LED sector.

A PETG diffuser is fire safe, impact-resistant and capable of diffusing light. With an extensive product range, this type is available in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 5mm as standard.

Clear

Clear is easy to work with, impact-resistant and optically pure, and comes in an extensive range of options. Thicknesses range from 0.5 mm to 10 mm. Plastix stocks the right PETG Clear for any project. Clear is simple to process and is available in a gloss finish. PETG can also be used to make diffusers for the lighting/LED industry.
