Sustainability matters to us at Plastix. As a plastics supplier and fabricator, we recognise our responsibility to minimise environmental impact and we're taking concrete steps to do so.
Our cutting processes are optimised for minimal waste. Our nesting software arranges cuts to maximise material usage from each sheet, and offcuts above a usable size are retained for smaller projects rather than discarded.
All acrylic waste and offcuts from our workshop are recycled.
We also stock and recommend eco-friendly alternatives where appropriate. Recycled-content acrylic sheets are now available from several manufacturers, and we're seeing growing demand for these products from environmentally conscious customers.
Our packaging has been overhauled to eliminate single-use plastics where possible. Sheets are wrapped in recyclable kraft paper and shipped in reusable or recyclable packaging. It's a small change, but across thousands of orders per year, it adds up.
